Volunteering

All volunteers are guaranteed a culturally exciting and rewarding experience in one of the most beautiful areas of the Dominican Republic. You will have the opportunity to be immersed in the Dominican culture and Spanish language gaining valuable experience for the future. There is nothing more powerful than the experience of helping others. Whether you are 5 years old or 80 years old, there is something for everyone to do.

Because we are a non-profit dedicated to helping an entire community, there are many different opportunities for volunteering. Whether you want to volunteer during your vacation, or for a longer period of time, we have options available. For long term positions we need Spanish speaking volunteers. Possible long term volunteers would be helping with the public schools and or health care system of the community of Cabrera. If you are coming to the D.R. and would like to donate literature, school supplies, clothing, health supplies, etc. see our wish list or please contact us directly as there is always a need for supplies. Donations can be made directly to the Catalina D.R. Foundation with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the nonprofit organization.

If you are interested in this exciting and culturally enriching experience please contact us at ashleigh@catalinadr.org.

"I am so glad to hear about the foundation. I am still amazed at how far the dollar goes and what you are able to accomplish with our contributions. I am also glad to hear about you taking on some health care in Cabrera, it certainly is something in dire need there. I don't think that the people here fully realize the amazing impact you have there. Everyone should take a moment to realize how many things we take for granted."

"This experience is something that will shape my attitude, perspective, and values for my entire life. I truly hope that others have the joy of contributing to Catalina DR Foundation and helping this incredible community."
